Friday Inspiration...

I ran across this little message this morning and just had to share with you guys. This one really touched me as there is just SO much truth to it and it very much applies to our journey here in the home based business world. ENJOY and have a very Happy Friday!!!

It is easy to come up with reasons why you aren’t where you want to be.

It takes work and discipline to push yourself a little every day until one day you are where you want to be.

The amazing thing for those that have done it, you look back and realize somewhere a long the way, it stopped feeling like work.

Somewhere along the way a weight was lifted as you moved closer to your dreams.

You realized you were tired of focusing on what wasn’t working and you were excited about what was.

For those that the rest of the world sees as “Lucky” those individuals had doubts, fears and missed opportunities just like us. For those that the rest of the world sees as “Lucky” those individuals had doubts, fears and missed opportunities just like us.

Yet, somewhere along the way they decided to change their attitude, their approach and ultimately their life…

Start your journey today. ~C.Nordyke

I hope today's post inspired you. Comment and share with your team to inspire them! Feel free to connect with me directly via phone or text at 612-562-8219. We'll see you tomorrow!

Make today ridiculously amazing!!

Be somebody!

You know who they are. You see them every day.

They exist in the spaces between our busy lives.

He's the security guard that stands between the world outside and your office inside.

She's the register person between your groceries and your car.

She's the bank teller between you and your money.

The train conductor. Dry cleaner. Secretary. The waiter between you and your lunch.

Even your sweet faced children who stand between the front door and your bedroom when you arrive home from work.

They are the familiar faces we see every day. They are the people we spend time with, even for brief moments that make life more meaningful, more connected, more real.

They are the people we encounter between where we were and where we are going.

At various times during your day they stand right before you, here and now.

And I have a theory that says how we treat the people in between our busy lives is directly related to our happiness.

For how we treat the people in between where we were and where we are going is indicative of how we live in the present moment.

If you walk right past the security guard at work without saying hello because you are just too busy then you are not in the present moment. If busyness and stress prevent you from connecting with your co-workers when you arrive at work then you are not in the present moment. And it is during the present moment where happiness, relationships, love and life are created.

To live life fully, then, is to make the most of the time in between where you were and where you are going and the best way to make sure you are doing this is to create meaningful interactions with the people in between. When you really think about it we all represent the people in between for we all live between the lives of each other-connected by phones, cars, roads, trains, oceans, planes, the internet and most of all love and energy.

So share your kindness, time, energy and compassion. Don't let the seemingly insignificant moments slip away for in reality they mean everything. We are all the people in between and when we recognize the significance of each other we also feel it and experience it inside ourselves.

Will you take advantage of these powerful moments? I hope you found value in today's post. Feel free to comment and share with your team. If you have any questions or if there is anything I can help you with, please feel free to reach me directly via phone or text at 612-562-8219. Have a beautiful day and we'll see you tomorrow. I believe in you!

Love your team!

Enthusiasm is important. Love is the answer! To really and I mean really tap the power of your heart and lead with positive, contagious energy you must love your team members. Find the value in each of them. Help them find their gold. Help them to discover their strengths, allow them to do what they do best. Letting people share their strengths and gifts is real love. And by you loving them and helping them find their gold they will shine and so will you. When you bring out the best in others, you can't help but bring out the best in yourself!

I want to share with you 5 ways to love your team members:

1. Make Time for Them: When you love someone or something, you spend time with them. You nurture your relationship with them. Get to know your team. Cultivate them with love. Be present with them. Don't be thinking about other things you have to do that day. Really be with that person and focus your energy on them. They will feel the difference.

2. Listen to Them: Do you hear what your team members say? Do you hear what your customers or prospects say? They want to be heard so listen to them and hear them. Not active listening but really sitting down and listening with your heart and caring about what they have to say. Empathy is key. Let them know they are seen and heard.

3. Recognize Them: I am not talking about trophies or award dinners. Make it personal. Honor them for who they are and what they do. Recognize them as a person as much as a business professional. The more you recognize them for doing things right, the more they will do things right. Feed the positive and watch it grow!

4. Serve Them: The higher you get in an organization, the more it is your duty to serve the people below you rather than having the people below you serve you. The key is to serve their growth, their future, their career, their spirits so they enjoy work, life and being on your bus (on your team). The more you serve their growth, the more they will help you grow.

5. Bring Out the Best in Them: When you love someone, you want the best for them. You want them to be successful and happy. You want to bring out the best in them. The best way to do this is to help each person discover their strengths and provide an opportunity for that person to utilize them. When you create a system that provides a way for people to shine, you not only bring out the best in them, but in the rest of the team and the company as well. If you really want to love your team, help them do what they do best. Its that simple!

I am here to love you, help you and bring out the best in you!

Here's to a beautiful and productive day~ Please feel free to comment and share this post with your team. You can connect with me at www.facebook.com/theresaswendra or call/text me at 612-562-8219. See you tomorrow!

Your Purpose

Finding success when you are building a business seems like a mystery sometimes.  You hear people tell you to do this, and then others to tell you to do something else.  One thing you’ll always hear is how important consistency is.  …and you’ll also learn that success comes by learning a few skills really well and then taking action in a few different areas consistently.

“Consistency is key in building your business.”  “You must be consistent at inviting and presenting.”  “You must consistently find new prospects.”  “You must work your business like a business, not a hobby.”  “If you treat it like a hobby, it will pay like a hobby.” — all phrases that remind you how important consistency.

For most starting out, it is a side job or a business on the side, which makes consistency an even larger challenge, right?

That’s why you often hear “create a why that will make you cry.”  There has to be a reason you do this business that is deeper than just earning some extra money.  The no’s and rejection alone will prevent most people from being consistent.

There has to be something tugging at the “heart” to be consistent, right?

Others will tell you to have a powerful vision to keep you on track.  A strong and powerful vision of who you want to become is much stronger and longer lasting than your “why.”  ….though many people use the words “why” and “vision” interchangeably.

This is just a thought and curiosity question, but how does “purpose” and “life purpose” play into your business?  Or does it not matter?

Your Purpose

It’s one of those age-old questions – “What am I here for?”

“What is my purpose in life?”  Do you ever ask yourself that question?  Do you have it figured out?

This post may be very different than most, maybe a little more personal and a lot more reflective.  But I must confess, I’ve wondered about my purpose and how I’m fulfilling my purpose.  Does your business have anything to do with your purpose in life?  Or better yet, how can your business help fulfill your purpose in life?

Having a “powerful why” is rather commercially digestible, it sounds good and often times it gets you a quick payoff because you get a pat on the back and someone nodding their head in agreement.  When you “pay off the debt” or “retire your husband” or whatever your why is, then what?

Having a well crafted vision is about you and what you want to accomplish.  It’s powerful.  It will pull you.

But I fear many leave out an area of their vision that is connected to their purpose in life.

Here’s where I struggle with this post… I don’t know your purpose, but I know mine.

When I struggled with consistency, I had not aligned my purpose, my vision and my business into sync.  I had my purpose, I had my vision of what I wanted for me and I had my business.
The three felt like three separate entities that overlapped in a few ways but were not playing out in harmony.

This caused a serious problem with my consistency.  …and the lack of consistency was not allowing me to succeed the way needed in order to successfully pull off any of the three.

My purpose in life is to impact lives and to spread Joy, Peace and happiness to the world around me.  It’s to bring glory to God and to help others experience His love.  My purpose is to live to my full potential and to help others do the same.  Average is not an option, it’s not who I am called to be.  It’s my purpose to create other winners and to help others get to the top and to live to their full potential.
My purpose is not something I take lightly.  Because of some changes in life, I found myself struggling knowing how to live out my purpose.

The way purpose plays out through my business: Helping people rank advance, helping them grow their business and raising up leaders and top earners.  I want to impact my team, and those who listen to, read and watch my content.  I have a sphere of influence and I want to serve them well.  I want to inspire people to be their best and to live to their full potential.  I want people to be a part of a fun community who enjoy life.  I want to create more smiles.  I want to help people create bigger bank accounts.

When my vision, purpose and “why” all aligned, being consistent became so much easier to pull off because my daily actions and daily routine had a purpose that were filling both today’s agenda and the future’s agenda.

Knowing that today’s actions serves my why, my vision and my ultimate purpose keeps me inspired, passionate and on track.

I needed a clearer vision to connect my life purpose, my vision and my business together.  I had been departmentalizing the three….and that kept me from being as consistent as I would like.

So here’s my encouragement to you.  If you’ve struggled with being consistent in your business, search deeper and get a clear understanding of what you’re trying to accomplish.  Why are you REALLY doing your business?  What are you really trying to accomplish?  Does your why, vision and purpose in life sync?  How can you use your business to better fulfill your purpose.

Without a doubt, building a business offers freedom – both time and financial.  That opens the door to being able to make an impact in many ways and in many different areas.  Sync up your purpose with your business, why and daily routine.  When you do this, you’ll find yourself unstoppable AND impacting lots of lives.

Quick Tips for Inviting

Why Is Inviting Important

Before you can present, recruit or build a team, you invite.  The better you become at inviting, the better you’ll be at building your business .  If you can train your team to invite, multiplication and duplication will take place.  Today, I want to share a couple of quick tips to help you get better at inviting:

1. Do Not Be Addicted To The Outcome – For some reason, we act as if everyone we share our opportunity with should say yes.  You have a super passion and a deep belief in what you are doing, so when others do not see it, we often wonder what we are doing wrong or why they don’t “get it.”  Trust me, I totally get that! I was the same way.  But being “addicted to the outcome” is counter productive.

When you are addicted to the outcome, the nos begin to weigh you down, you begin to take the “rejection” personally and you end up not taking action.

Realize this:  no one has ever succeeded in building a successful business without thousands of nos.  Don’t take it personally, and do not care if it’s a yes or a no.  Your job is to simply share the opportunity and get eyes on the presentation.

2. Show Excitement & Enthusiasm – You have to be excited and show enthusiasm for your opportunity.  Why would anyone want to partner with you in business if you’re not excited about what you have going on?  Your enthusiasm will get more people to watch your presentation.  Your enthusiasm creates curiosity and will help get others excited about what you are doing.  A lack of excitement is a huge turn off.

3. Don’t Talk Too Much – One of the biggest problems most people have during their invite is they say too much.  They try to over explain or give too many details.  This is where you need to go back to the way you invite people to dinner or for lunch.  You simply say “Hey, want to go to lunch tomorrow?”  I’ve heard someone reason say this: “We seem to know more about inviting before we get into building a business.  As soon as we get in, we seem to forget how to invite.”
Isn’t that the truth?  Don’t talk too much, don’t over explain and simply invite them.

4. Be Busy When You Invite – Were you like me the first time you heard this?  I thought if you were inviting someone it would be rude to be in a hurry and not have the time to address some of their questions.  By addressing some of their questions, you’re not addressing ALL of their questions and they are much more likely to pre-judge without hearing all of the details.
Busy folks are the ones who are the movers and shakers.  Busy people are the ones getting things done.  Busy people attract other people to them because busy people are the ones who have success.

Also, by being busy, you prevent yourself from saying too much.  Your purpose of inviting is to get them to a presentation, not to explain at the time of the invite.

By being busy you create curiosity about what you’re up to.  There are so many positive reasons around being busy!

5. Do Not Send Links Through email or Social Media – The reasons for this could easily go into the hundreds, but simply put, it’s not professional.  Have you heard the saying “treat your business like a business and it will pay like a business?”  How many professional business people do you know who would try to close a deal via email?  If Donald Trump wanted to do business with Warren Buffett, do you think he would send a link to the business presentation through email or leave a post on his Facebook.

If you want to get better at inviting, do not go straight to the pitch but instead get people to a presentation.

Social media can be great for your business, that’s why I use it.  But it’s not the place for making an effective invite to build your business.

The best way to get better at inviting prospects to see your network marketing opportunity is to simply invite.

Invite 10 people and then evaluate what worked and what did not work.

Then invite 10 more and do the same.

Then invite 10 more prospects and evaluate what you did again.

The more you invite, the better you get.  The more you evaluate what you did and the responses that you received, the better you’ll become.

Whatever you do, keep inviting and keep starting conversations.  It’s the best way to get good at inviting.

Hope you found these tips helpful. Please feel free to reach me directly at 612-562-8219 if you have any questions. Have a beautiful and successful day and we'll see you tomorrow!

Path to Success...

There are some things you WILL hear on your way to wealth, don’t let these very common things slow or stop you, the path to success isn’t easy but it IS worth it!

True Success Quotes

“When you can’t understand the negativity, doubt, or lack of support directed at you just remember this. They are not looking at you…they are looking in the mirror. After that the true clarity of their self-doubt will emerge.”― Carl Henegan

“At first, some friends who are actually ‘unfriendly friends,’ would laugh at your faith in succeeding with your dream, because they would judge you based on your past failures and mistakes. But later on, they would become very jealous when they start to notice that you are succeeding in an extraordinary way, and continuously proving them wrong.”― Edmond Mbiaka

“You will face your greatest opposition when you are closest to your biggest miracle.”
— Shannon L. Alder

“The best way to counter-attack a hater is to make it blatantly obvious that their attack has had no impact on you.”– Timothy Ferris

My Path to Success…

I remember when I started on my path to working from home. Everyone told me that working from home was a scam. They said if I did find something that wasn't it would never work for me anyways. I was determined to show them otherwise. I did try a few things that were really scams but I continued on in search of success. I have been with my company five years and joined after a lot of research to make sure it was very much real. I still have some friends and family that ask if I am still involved with my "work at home thing" as they refer to it. I have had some come and ask about what I am doing and either use the product or join my team and create their own success. Many still work their jobs and that works for them. Everyone's path to success is different.

The Truth about the Way to Wealth

Let me help you get accustomed to some questions you are going to hear that IF you keep going, you will look back and laugh at. On your way to wealth you are going to hear questions like this:

“You in another one of those things?”
“Are you rich yet?” (always said with a snicker)
“Still trying to get rich?”

And here’s the reality…how dare they. How dare someone that is NOT willing to put their neck out to create something great in their life dare to put down or speak negatively to the person that puts themselves on the line to change their lives and the lives of their family.

Do you realize the sheer magnitude of math that will absolutely prevent most people from retiring with much more than food to live on? There is a reason 1-3% of people control the majority of all money, IT’S BECAUSE THEY PUT THEIR NECK OUT AT SOME POINT. No one in that 1-3% staying in a job they hated, they escaped and went on to build their dreams. Instead of pissing and moaning on how unfair life is, CHANGE IT!

But the haters, critics and skeptics will never do that. They will just throw as much verbal garbage at you and hope like hell you DON’T make it as it would shatter their twisted version of reality.

Keep Going.

Yeah, I have had bumps along the way, no doubt. There have only been a hundred thousand times I wanted to quit and play small and stop being an entrepreneur, that feeling doesn’t go away, even with success.

Never accept the opinion of someone that ISN’T going to leave the type of legacy you strive for. YOU can create anything you want regardless of circumstances, obstacles or background so start today. Start today to put the blinders on and run toward your dreams. You are worthy and the world is waiting. I believe in you and excited to applaud you on your path to success!

Quick tips to help you grow your business!

One of the best ways to get positive and successful results is to find people who are successful, learn from them, implement their strategies and habits in your own life (take action) and keep tweaking the habits and processes until you build your own success.

Learning from others saves us from making the same mistakes as others and gives us a head-start at reaching success. So here are 7 tips that will help you grow your business.

1. Set Goals

In all of the the success books I have read, one thing I’ve found that successful people have in common is that they all set goals. If you do not have goals, how do you know what to do and what action to take? If you do not set goals, how can you measure progress?

Setting goals is vital to reach milestones such as the amount of money you want to earn, how much product you wish to sell and how many new business partners you want to sponsor. Are you a day dreamer and love to dream about what can happen in your business and what you can do with the success? Writing those dreams down and coming up with a plan on how to reach them turns those “dreams” into “goals” and makes reaching the dreams/goals achievable.

2. Treat your Business Like A Business

Without a doubt, most of us get into business because of the time freedom and financial freedom it offers. For me, I am friends with many highly successful people in various network marketing companies who earn a crazy amount of money. They treat their business like a business.
They set hours. They make sure they have leads coming in. They keep up with expenses and income. They network. They are frugal where they need to be frugal and spend money where they need to spend money.

In other words, they treat their business like a business.

Having a successful business is possible when you treat your home based business like an actually business. If you start your business only to act as if you you’ve already built it, you will not do the needed actions that it takes to grow your business. It is a real business, so treat it as such.

3. Schedule Time To Build Your Small Business

Being a home based business requires discipline and complete determination. Working from home for the past 9 years people constantly ask “How do you do it? How do you have the discipline to work while at home?”

The quick response is “You set your alarm and get up early to commute to work everyday, don’t you? How do you do that?” Simple, it takes discipline.

You have to schedule time to work your business in order for it to grow. If you do not set time aside for it, you are not treating it like a business nor are you giving yourself the opportunity to succeed.

Keep in mind, the work you do now will pay off for years to come. Do whatever it takes to make time to ensure success. You’ll discover that building your business is fun and enjoyable too. So after you get going, it’s very easy to set aside the time that you need because it will not feel like work.

4. Do The Things That Make Money

There are two main ways to make money in your business: selling your products and sponsoring / recruiting others to be on your team to do the same thing.

Selling products will give you some good spending money and recruiting others can bring about the financial freedom you dream of. It’s so easy to spend your time doing everything but these two key actions, but the other things do not earn money.

Make sure you spend time doing the things that will bring you money.

Just to be crystal clear – spend the majority of your time prospecting (around 80% of your working time), inviting, showing your presentation and promoting events. These are the profit producing activities and this tip alone will help you become profitable.

5. Keep Your Funnel Full

In order to keep new customers coming and new recruits coming, you have to keep your sales funnel full.  Always be on the lookout for new prospects.  Get into the habit of inviting people to see your presentation. Find ways to attract leads to find those who would be good for your business.

One of the wonderful things about building your business is there are multiple ways of finding, securing and generating leads. Always keep your sales funnel full so new opportunities are always at your fingertips.

6. Positioning Is Vital

In order to be seen as a leader, you have to be a leader. Whether you have one person on your team, 100 people on your team or 1,000 on your team, you have to be the leader you dream to be when you have 10,000 on your team.

Position yourself to be that leader now by simply leading, inspiring, encouraging and being the kind of leader others will want to partner with. Most experts are self-proclaimed experts. But it takes much more than just proclaiming to be an expert, the action behind the words are much more important!

7. Always Look For Ways To Help Others

One of the beautiful things about building your business is that you get to help others grow personally and financially. But what if someone isn’t interested in your products or your business opportunity? Still look for ways to connect and bless their lives.

If you are helping people, success is inevitable.
